NaurÊa - Furdunço

I just explored this new release from a band called NaurÊa based in aracaju, brazil. The music they play is called sambaiao, an energetic sound with akkordeon, tropical guitar riffs and samba grooves. The EP features three original tracks as well as three Remixes by famous brazilian Dj's Dolores, Lucio K and Kaska, giving their tunes a bass and breakbeat flavour. Tape Five - Peace Patrol

Tape Five are working on a new album, wich will be out in may 2012. In the meantime they call out „We want you – to join the Peace Patrol!“ on their new Single. Tape Five, the mother of Electro-swing invites you to their peaceful patrol with a fresh crackling mix of Swing, March and Hiphop.

The Big Bands from the 30ies and 40ies gave their best to entertain the allied war troops, TAPE FIVE of course has a pacifistic attitude, but was inspired from that original swingin ́sound and using it ́s power to create a marching peace parade!
This time they present some french Rap with a non aggressive message - an african guy from Kamerun called Sinetiq joined the TAPE FIVE crew for this mission. A great collaboration with a good message!

Amsterdam Klezmer Band - Mokum

The new album release by The Amsterdam Klezmer Band will celebrate their 15th anniversary to coincide with the band’s 1000th concert. "MOKUM" is the Yiddish word for “city” and is slang for “Amsterdam”. It will be in stores from 2. march 2012.

The MOKUM album contains 16 live tracks recently recorded in front of a select audience at Amsterdam’s renowned Studio 150. These recordings retrace the band’s history. Most of these tracks have not been available for years. The time was ripe to play and reshape them again, giving them a new edge – these rejuvenated songs are alive and kicking once again.

Bart & Baker - The Jet Lag EP

Hey folks. I just got the message that Bart & Baker, the two Electro Swing celebrities from Paris are back with another EP called "The Jet Lag".  The 4 tracks, of wich two are brand new productions, will be out on February 14th 2012. One of the new tunes is a french/english/italian cover of Paolo Conte's Via Con Me, wich is really brilliant in my opinion. The Jet Lag Remix EP will be out in early march and features Enzo Siffredi, 6u5 and BruSwing. Check this out guys!

KKC Orchestra - Dig Your Own Swing

Today I want to introduce to you the KKC Orchestra based in Toulouse/Cahors, France. These guys are playing a great mixture of Hip Hop, Swing, Breaks and Turntableism.
