Slow Nomaden - Journey

I’m very proud and happy to release my first Slow Nomaden full length Album „Journey“ on 15.03.2019. The 13 tracks represent different chapters on a fictive journey that draws inspiration from different cultures and music genres. Downtempo, Electronica and Deep House mixed with exotic sounds and instruments, following the path of a multicultural fusion without borders.

"Welcome To The Journey" serves as an Intro to more than an hour of music to listen, dream and dance to, while escaping your stressful everyday life. Tropical sounds and beautiful melodies guide your way to the energizing offbeat vibe of “La Niña“. “Tranquilo“ continues with the slow beats and the tropical flavours but adds some trippy pads and arpeggios. "Palmas“ is characterized by flamenco sounds and rythms combined with electronic elements, slow 4/4 beats and a heavy bassline. Tabla grooves and Sitar melodies fuse with cool downtempo grooves on „Space Sitar“. "Sun" sounds like an oriental trip into the desert, where the sun can be a blessing or a curse. Expect an electronic downtempo vibe driven by a deep percussion groove, 4/4 beats and an infectious Oud riff. The mystical atmosphere of "Mountain Spirits" with its drone sounds and oriental deep house beats is intensified through its melancholic duduk melodies and piano chords. "Hang Loose" combines instruments and sounds from the Bosporus with a deep and pumping electronic beat to build a bridge between sounds from Asia and Europe. "Shadows” is a deep Afro House track that is driven by a massive bass line and a Darbuka groove. Mysterious synth pads and arpeggios remind us on the shadow side of the journey. On “Magic Carpet” Slow Nomaden delivers an epic 7 minute Electronica track inspired by the fairy tales of One Thousand and One Nights. Carried by a warm percussion groove, phasing pads and deep 4/4 beats the track fuses oriental vibes with organic electronic sounds to create a dreamy melodic trip. After some more upbeat tracks “Moon” slows it down again with a deep meditative groove. “Seed“ lets us imagine warm organic sounds, that sprout out of the ground like different leaves, to build a new musical organism. On the last chapter of the journey “Illusion”, Slow Nomaden creates a melancholic downtempo track that includes some unexpected breaks, which reflect those illusions we are all facing from time to time in life. Expect organic grooves, electronic string sounds, slow 4/4 beats, piano chords and an other-worldly voice.

Monolink - Amniotic

On his first Album "Amniotic" Monolink creates a beautiful fusion of his Singer Songwriter origin with modern deep Electronic Music. This Album is pure bliss!

Weval - Weval

The debut album of the duo Weval, based in Amsterdam is one of the most surprising electronic releases of 2016. These young guys created a great mix of slightly detuned vintage synths, indie vocals and rolling drum beats. Electro Swing Elite - ESE Compilation 2016

The Electro Swing Elite Compilation enters the third round and I'm happy to be included on this compilation with my track "Locomotive Swing"! 19 exclusive tracks are represented again by 27 different artists released on 25.10.2016 with the Hamburg label "Ton liebt Klang”. The array of artists stretches over the entire globe, almost a cross section of the global Electro Swing scene. Musically, everything is offered by solid Electro Swing, about Neo Swing, till the Swing House. Hereby, every listener, DJ and clubbers, who likes to dance and ensnare themselves by driving beats and snappy melodies can be is happy. Electro swing is more than just music, it's a feeling, an attitude, a provocation and a connection. Just as the Swing of Roaring 20's also has already always been!
 

Nova Lima - Planetario Remix EP

I recently found this nice Club Remix from Jose Marquez included on Nova Lima's latest Remix EP. If you like some Afro Cuban Club sounds, you surely should check out this dancefloor tune. "After the success of their latest album, Planetario, Afro-Peruvian outfit Novalima returns to Wonderwheel with a digi-EP of four deep remixes for the dancefloor from California's Jose Marquez (Tribe Records) along , NYC's Chris Annibell (Afrokinetic), South Africa's Aero Manyelo, and Italy's Gigi Di Martino."

Seth Schwarz & Be Svendsen - The Bar Tender

Seth Schwarz and Be Svendsen collaborate on this beautiful track called "The Bar Tender" to create a smooth and dreamy atmosphere. Live strings and field recordings meet a killer groove to help create one of the summer anthems of Burning Man.

Viken Arman - Rosas (NU Remix)

NU based in Berlin made this amazing Remix of Viken Arman's track "Rosas". It is included in his latest EP called Rosas/Terra released on Platon Records.

Nico Stojan - Twisted Manners

Nico Stojan's debut album is a great piece of electronic music that combines deep after hour beats with smooth jazzy vibes. Sound Nomaden - Madame Remixes

After the successful release of the Sound Nomaden debut album "Madame", Nu Bohème Recordings are very happy to announce the next release with the "Madame Remixes" EP. It is a great pleasure to present you 6 international Remixers from Spain, Serbia, France, UK, USA and Germany that mix the original album tracks in their very own special styles.

The Gentleman Callers of LA give Sound Nomaden's most famous track "The Trumpet" the unique Gentleman's Electro House treat. Based in Los Angeles, the two producers are on the forefront of the US Electro Swing scene. With his orchestral Remix of the track "Madame", Johnny Lectro from Germany manages to transform the original into a powerful Deep House anthem. French producer and founder of electro-swing.com Incontrol chooses "Tear Of Joy" to highlight the vocals and create a great Garage House Remix while Nikola Vujicic based in Serbia is giving the same original track his very powerful and rhythmic Swing House twist. Charlie Beale with his roots in the UK Electro Blues scene recorded some nice guitar lines and retro synth sounds to remix "Madame" in his special vintage style. Last but not least Miret with his background in Barcelona's Global Bass scene is taking "Accordeon Hipsters" on a dubby trip with heavy basslines.

incontrol & Wolfgang Lohr - Charleston

Today I want to introduce to you "Charleston" one of the two tracks of the new EP by incontroL & Wolfgang Lohr. Two popular tunes, Charleston and Ain't she sweet were once recorded by a professional jazz band (Wolfgang Lohr himself plays the trumpet on this recording session). The duo found the forgotten tapes and brought some life into it producing with no doubt two tracks everybody is gonna love on Electro Swing dancefloors from Portland to Tokyo!
 

Sound Nomaden - Madame

I'm more than happy to introduce to you my first album called "Madame".
The eleven tracks on the album combine influences of Swing, Jazz, Folk, Ska and even Classical Music with an up tempo club vibe.</div>
Beside MSP my partner in crime, well known through his expressive live saxophone performances, I worked together with numerous guest musicians including Anja Kreysing, Das.Schliep, Cab Canavaral and Martin Knott. As the consequence the album defines a new generation of electronic music where powerful synthesizer and heavy club beats fuse with acoustic instruments like accordion, piano, trumpet, violin, tuba, guitar, saxophone and clarinet.
You can have a listen to the tracks on bandcamp and if you like to support me and my music you can purchase digital or limited CD version over there as well. Limited Edition of 500 vinyl copies will be available in early 2015 as well.

The WooHoo Revue - Remixed Vol.1

For the next release we are going worldwide with a remix EP of the energetic gypsy swing band WooHoo Revue. Hailing from Melbourne Australia, The WooHoo Revue are a sextet of amazingly talented musicians consisting of strings, horns & drums. They have forged their reputation throughout Australia as a festival favourite with their signature sound and an adrenaline-fuelled celebration fit for dancing, drinking, and ignoring tomorrow. The EP is a selection of remixes of The WooHoo Revue tracks, ranging in style from Gypsy House to Glitch Hop to Breaks to Minimal, all dancefloor ready.  Listen to the remixes here:

Riva Starr - Hand In Hand

Howdy folks, today I would like to recommend you the new Riva Starr album called "Hand In Hand".
I was surprised in a positive way when I had a listen to the new tracks of Riva Starr a few weeks ago because I didn't expect such a variety of sounds, influences and beats. Riva Starr, most famous for his  House DJ-Sets all around the world in the past years, shows that he is far more than this.
He managed to fuse influences of tango, surf pop, indie electronica, ska, downtempo and trip hop all in one album. Guest appearances of Vinicio Capossela, Roots Manuva, Rssll and Horace Andy make this one definitely one of the must hear albums of 2013 for me.

Cab Canavaral Remixed

Cab Canavaral, the swinging Sax Player from Vienna is back with a Remix Album full of Electro Swing. Beside the winners of a Remix Contest and two Cab Canavaral Originals, there are also previously unreleased Remixes by Skeewiff and Sound Nomaden on this one. Check out the preview on soundcloud now. It will be released in all major download stores on dec. 12th.

Kočani FUNKolektiv - Dirty and Ugly - Balkan Vision & Mashina Remixes

Last but not least, I want to let you know about a new Balkan Beats release from Berlin. BalkanVision & Mashina had the honor to remix the Kolektiv from this little town in Macedonia, where many of the best brass players originate. Kocani FUNKolektiv is some of the younger musicians from the widely known Kocani Orchestar, who decided to form a new group to make more contemporary music. This is how they came to work with musicians from other genres to enrich their melodic brass with elements including turntables or beatboxing. There's no-one better to remix such a troupe then BalkanVision & Mashina, who also bust out of straightjacketed styles to mix it up and create something new. Enjoy !

Jamie Berry - Out Of My Mind

And another Swing House banger from the UK is coming from Jamie Berry, based in Leeds. His EP is called "Out Of My Mind" and combines the big band swing of the 30's with the club beats of today. Big recommendation for this one!

GOT K.D.S feat. CRYSTAL DISTORTION - SWANG! (Shake That Thing)

Here we go with one of the swingin' summer tracks for 2012. SWANG! (Shake That Thing) from GOT K.D.S feat. CRYSTAL DISTORTION is a dancefloor track per excellence. This is what the label Freshly Squeezed says about the release: "The record has all the feel-good hallmarks of a wicked electro swing cut but with the tight fat production of a house banger and the instantaneous immediacy of the best kind of pop." We'll see, if it hits the festivals and clubs of the world this summer. I'll definitely give it a spin ;-)
