Barrio Lindo - Albura

Today I would like to recommend the new Barrio Lindo Album called "Albura" released April 6 on Shika Shika.
The 12 tracks on ALBURA take the listener on a deep and fresh journey into the contemporary sound of Latin American music, accompanied by organic electronica. In the midst of cumbias, sambas, carnavales and folkloric melodies, this record includes collaborations with indispensable referents of the new wave of South American producers who have crossed paths with Barrio Lindo: Jhon Montoya, Ela Minus, Lulacruza, Clara Trucco a.k.a. Wende Wen (Fémina/Weste) y Carrot Green. This album merges the two universes that coexist in Agustín Rivaldo: the role of producer and the role of a luthier dedicated to traditional South American instruments. In fact, the name ALBURA is a botanical nod to the youngest part of the wood of a tree, and where the most recent growth rings of the trunk are found, at the same time a vital part for luthiers. During the production process, Rivaldo recorded with instruments that he made himself: charangos, guitars, quenas and marimbas, among others.

My favourite track is "Otoño Primavera" feat. the great voice of Lulacruza.

Sound Nomaden - Madame Remixes

After the successful release of the Sound Nomaden debut album "Madame", Nu Bohème Recordings are very happy to announce the next release with the "Madame Remixes" EP. It is a great pleasure to present you 6 international Remixers from Spain, Serbia, France, UK, USA and Germany that mix the original album tracks in their very own special styles.

The Gentleman Callers of LA give Sound Nomaden's most famous track "The Trumpet" the unique Gentleman's Electro House treat. Based in Los Angeles, the two producers are on the forefront of the US Electro Swing scene. With his orchestral Remix of the track "Madame", Johnny Lectro from Germany manages to transform the original into a powerful Deep House anthem. French producer and founder of electro-swing.com Incontrol chooses "Tear Of Joy" to highlight the vocals and create a great Garage House Remix while Nikola Vujicic based in Serbia is giving the same original track his very powerful and rhythmic Swing House twist. Charlie Beale with his roots in the UK Electro Blues scene recorded some nice guitar lines and retro synth sounds to remix "Madame" in his special vintage style. Last but not least Miret with his background in Barcelona's Global Bass scene is taking "Accordeon Hipsters" on a dubby trip with heavy basslines.

Sound Nomaden - Madame

I'm more than happy to introduce to you my first album called "Madame".
The eleven tracks on the album combine influences of Swing, Jazz, Folk, Ska and even Classical Music with an up tempo club vibe.</div>
Beside MSP my partner in crime, well known through his expressive live saxophone performances, I worked together with numerous guest musicians including Anja Kreysing, Das.Schliep, Cab Canavaral and Martin Knott. As the consequence the album defines a new generation of electronic music where powerful synthesizer and heavy club beats fuse with acoustic instruments like accordion, piano, trumpet, violin, tuba, guitar, saxophone and clarinet.
You can have a listen to the tracks on bandcamp and if you like to support me and my music you can purchase digital or limited CD version over there as well. Limited Edition of 500 vinyl copies will be available in early 2015 as well.

Howdy guys, here is the freshest release by UK funky breaks "legend" Skeewiff. Lately Alex Rizzo the man behind the scenes has dedicated himself to Remix a lot of old vintage genres and styles fom all around the globe. His latest album is called "Ghetto Latin" and this is what he says about it:

Restless Leg Syndrome - Dabkeh

Hey folks, today I want to introduce to you the "Restless Leg Syndrome" based in Austria. Their brand new EP called "Dabkeh" is a great mixture of Breaks and Scratches combined with arabian percussions and samples from traditional mediterranean music. The concept behind the joint-venture consisting of d.b.h and the two turntable wizards Chrisfader and Testa is quite simple: Take a specific genre of music, sample and flip it into danceable beats. In the case of their second EP, named after a popular Mediterranean form of line-dancing, the subject of the musical explorations is the Arab world. The three guys from RLS spent quite some time mining old vinyl or cassettes to create the tracks on this EP, in the hopes of getting some wild Dabkeh moves started on dancefloors worldwide!

Riva Starr - Hand In Hand

Howdy folks, today I would like to recommend you the new Riva Starr album called "Hand In Hand".
I was surprised in a positive way when I had a listen to the new tracks of Riva Starr a few weeks ago because I didn't expect such a variety of sounds, influences and beats. Riva Starr, most famous for his  House DJ-Sets all around the world in the past years, shows that he is far more than this.
He managed to fuse influences of tango, surf pop, indie electronica, ska, downtempo and trip hop all in one album. Guest appearances of Vinicio Capossela, Roots Manuva, Rssll and Horace Andy make this one definitely one of the must hear albums of 2013 for me.

Kaligola Disco Bazar - Remixed

Hola muchachos, today I got this in my mailbox: Kaligola Disco Bazar - Remixed. Good reason to write on my blog again! Kaligola Disco Bazar means italo balkan flavour gets manipulated with the aid of electronic beats, synthetizers and a good dose of creativty. What comes out is a wide range of sonorities, some more dancefloor oriented, others more refined and suitable for a mind-blowing experience. This new album includes remixes by international producers from the balkan beats and world beats scene, such as Dj Stanbul, Økapi, Frohlocker, Solo Moderna, Café de Calaveras, Parlee-vu Gipsy?, Lazarus Sound System and Mondo Cane. Savages y Suefo - Worldstyle

After two succesful EPs and a big dose of remixes Savages y Suefo finally released their debut album! The two members of Savages Y Suefo came from the same eclectic music scene of Budapest. They play downtempo, breaks, jazz, funk, hip-hop, dub, electro swing and all kinds of multikulti-folk in their dj sets and they incorporate the same variety in their own music as well. "Worldstyle" is a colourful, emotional trip inspired by bands like United Future Organization, Up, Bustle & Out, Karminsky Experience, or Thievery Corporation. Kosta Kostov - French Wine

Here's the new EP by Cologne based Globetrotter Kosta Kostov. It's called "French Wine" and features the serbian mighty voice man MC Killo Killo and the party animals Cologne Boom Chak Crew. The two original tunes are remixed by some big names of the global beats scene, like Marcelinho da Lua (Vapa Records/Brasil), DJ Click (No Fridge/Paris) and DJ Lucio K (San Francisco). These are good basics for a party jam so check them out!!!

Mexican Institute of Sound (M.I.S.) - Mexico

Here's another very interesting release for the Global Beats scene. Chusma Records is releasing the new single «Mexico» by Mexican Institute of Sound’s (M.I.S.). The single is from the highly-anticipated new album «Politico». The music video for «México» by MIS was directed by Jonas Cuaron (Children of Men), brother of Alfonso Cuaron (Y Tu Mama Tambien, Harry Potter), and takes place in Mexico City’s legendary El Zócalo during massive youth demonstrations. The controversial video features the youth protest movement #Soy132 which has recently mobilized in support of democratization of the Mexican media and political system. The album “Político” will be released october 14th on Chusma Records. Have a look at the video or check out the preview on soundcloud. It's defenitely worth listening!

Here's another Electro Swing Debut, this time by the Swingrowers from Sicily. They come up with a full length album featuring a lot of guest musicians on 11 tracks full of swingish melodies. NaurÊa - Furdunço

I just explored this new release from a band called NaurÊa based in aracaju, brazil. The music they play is called sambaiao, an energetic sound with akkordeon,&nbsp;tropical&nbsp;guitar riffs and samba grooves. The EP features three original tracks as well as three Remixes by famous brazilian Dj's Dolores, Lucio K and Kaska, giving their tunes a bass and breakbeat flavour. Dubmatix presents Clash Of The Titans – The System Shakedown Remixes

Here's a brand new release for all the Dubheads out there! Dubmatix, a fresh Dub- and Reggaeartist based in Toronto is throwing out a big journey of remixes from some of the world’s most talented producers. “Dubmatix presents Clash Of The Titans – The System Shakedown Remixes” features an awesome line-up including: G.Corp (Groove Corporation), Zion Train, Aldubb, Dubvisionist, TVS, Mungo's HiFi, Marcus Visionary, LionDub, Webcam Hi-Fi, Victor Rice, Vibronics, Subatomic Soundsystem and Nate Wize.
